AI-Powered Fashion Technology Company Joins Elite Cohort to Build Practical AI Applications for Leading Fashion Brands

New York, May 13, 2026 — Raspberry AI, an AI-powered technology platform built for the fashion industry, today announced it has been selected as one of six developer finalists for the inaugural Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) x OpenAI Innovation Hub. The program, which officially kicked off at OpenAI's New York City headquarters on May 13, brings together leading AI companies and top CFDA member brands to develop real, practical AI applications inside fashion businesses.

The Innovation Hub pairs six AI developer finalists with six prominent CFDA member brands, alice+olivia, Araks, Public School, Rebecca Minkoff, Simkhai, and Tory Burch, in a structured, four-month collaboration supported by mentorship and technical guidance from OpenAI. Participating teams will receive a share of over $300,000 in grant funding from OpenAI, along with access to its tools and API resources.

The program's launch event, "Dev Day," featured live technology demonstrations in which developer finalists responded to the prompt: "How does your technology solve a specific challenge within the fashion industry, and what is the impact?" Following the presentations, designers met one-on-one with developers in a curated matchmaking process to identify opportunities for collaboration. Final pairings will be confirmed by the CFDA, forming six designer–developer teams.

"Being selected for the CFDA x OpenAI Innovation Hub is a tremendous validation of what we're building at Raspberry AI," said Cheryl Liu, CEO and Co-Founder of Raspberry AI. "We had the opportunity to sit down one-on-one with some of the best brands in the industry to diagnose exactly where AI can make a real difference. It's incredible to see the best minds in AI and retail come together, and we're deeply grateful to the CFDA and OpenAI for choosing us."

"Fashion is a powerful driver of culture, innovation, and economic growth," said Steven Kolb, President and CEO of the CFDA. "The CFDA remains committed to building an American fashion industry that is forward-looking, inclusive, and positioned to inspire the next generation of global creative leadership."

"Fashion has always evolved through innovation, creativity, and self-expression, and AI has the potential to become a powerful tool for designers and creators across the industry," said Charles Porch, Vice President of Global Creative Partnerships at OpenAI. "Through this partnership, we're excited to explore how emerging technologies can expand what's possible beyond traditional creative constructs and inspire the next generation of fashion."
